Probably "Disco specialists" will never click on the link to this record, but if by any chance you did it you will get at least something... a name for your dog! what? yes you read it right, a name for your dog, here it is "Firulais" and when the people ask you what does it means you can tell them that... (here's the story)
Back in 1979 a guy called "Patricio" Hernandez had the idea to write a song that was a super hit in everywhere, but there was a place where the people didnt speak english (lol) and they loved the song too, it was so catchy that everybody sing the song in the way they understood (or how it sounds) and for them it sounded like "por tu firulais" (born to be alive) and that was all they sing besides the chorus that says nothing... certainly i don't remeber the people singing "por tu firulais" but some day i was in my friend's house and her cousin Aida was there, she was a teenager in that time and was one of the bunch of people that knows this song as "por tu firulais" and my friend was asking her hey what happen to you? you used to dance so great in that time now you dont even hear that music, so she started to remember those times of discotheque "La Cueva" and how they danced there, how she dress, and the songs they played there and then suddenly she started to dance and sing saying "but my favorite one was that one that goes "por tu firulais..." we just broke in to big laugh when we hear her singing like that and she confirmed that everybody knew that song by that "name" and everybody sing it that way... thinking the song was about a dog called "Firulais"
So if you love disco, name your dog with an apropiate disco name :)... here we have the mexican edition of this album that besides this mega hit also includes another very good tracks like Disco Queen that opens the album, the second track "You turn me on" on the style of Jesse Green very apropiate for a bump dance, to close this side " Show me the way you kiss" with backgroud vocals on the style of Sylvester and a rythm suitable for "bunny honey" dance steps so if you like Destination, Gary's Gang or Azoto you will like this song that sounds like a medley of this 3 groups...
On the b side the first 2 tracks are just on the same style of "Show me.." but they are good just to set the mood for the mega hit... then finish with "I give you a rendez-vous it sounds a little like Two man sound but the end of the song kills the whole number...
