Here is a rather forgotten 1979 soundtrack LP from the movie "Sunnyside" by New York City Band featuring the silky vocals of the late Luther Vandross.
The song "Got to have your body" offers here the best example of vocals by Luther Vandross who at this point during the early years of his career was part of many projects with different producers of the day.
Another notable song in this album is "Sunnyside", here again Luther Vandross’ voice shines in the background and during a brief solo, this cut overall sound is very reminiscent of a Greg Diamond production (Bionic Boogie, Starcruiser) probably due to the contributions to this project of Godfrey Diamond.
The rest of the Album includes other nice commendable songs worth listening to, especially if you’d like to experience lesser known songs featuring the wonderful voice of Luther Vandross before his conquest of the top of the charts.
