MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

...How can you stop the rain from falling down? well maybe sounds an impossible thing to do but i guess there's just one way to do that, listen to this record (songs) punch your heart with the sharpest thing you can find (talking about feelings) and cry a river till you drown in your own tears...

That´s what happened to me when i used to hear this song when i was only 4, i remeber those days the house full of people in the morning everybody getting ready to go to work or school, my grandma cooking breakfast for everyone, my sister crying out loud cause she didn't want to go to the school, everybody talking nonsense stuffs, yeah such a mess at quarter to seven in the morning, and when everybody left the house spend almost all day alone... but that is not the worst part of the story, oh no, what could be worst that listen in the background barely audible a little transistors radio somewhere in the house tunned on am frecuency the sadest songs i've ever heard... "How can you mend a broken heart" and if this is not enough "To love somebody"...

I didn't even know what they were singing but as i said in other reviews there´s no need to understand the language when the singer can shake your very soul with his/her voice...shoud i sued Barry or maybe Robin for been part of that daily scene? cause that was not such a "good morning dear" greeting :) of course not, now that i can understand what they sang and overcome love situations with the love one (when there is a love one) the only thing that remains is to enjoy and admire the geniality of these guys to create such a wonderful songs, that 34 years after, stills been remastered, rereleased and stills getting great sales and of course stills touching hearts as they did years ago...

This simple and beautiful single (ep) doesn't mention was recorded in mono but there is no need for that you can easily note the diference between "new" digital releases and i swear remakes by themselfs cause when i played the record sounds incredibly like i hear it 34 years ago, now i don't cry but as i said one can only enjoy those beautiful recordings. :)

...baby you don't know what is like, baby you don't know what is like... to love somebody, to love somebody, the way i love you...

LOL! It's good to see Lamplight was an A-Side somewhere!
