MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

1978 and my home were at party almost every night! the radio played Llégale (Get Off) by Foxy one of the most funny songs that i had memory of, not for the lyrics but "how it sounds" when you´re not a native english speaking person songs in english can be so funny... my cousin a teenager in that time he already knew how to have fun with us (my sister and me) as soon as he arrived home after school turned on the radio and tune for the "Radio Kono" station to hear "Disco" he only had to wait just a little to listen Get Off and start to laugh about me and my sister that like posessed ones jumped to the living room floor to dance... Get Off with the most stupid steps that you could ever imagine, our favorite one "The Banderazo"...
(I don´t know how to say "banderazo" in english but is the action that the guy in the start line on a car racing makes with the flag so the cars start to run...) well that´s the banderazo step... not a great thing but imagine two little children dancing so excited with this funny song back in the 70s :), (Thank you Chela Branniff for teaching us "The Banderazo")...

But that´s not all, my damn cousin didn't get enough laughing about us that started to plan a "Disco Play" with me my sister and our friends from the neighborhood! he did everything to keep us dancing all the time, we took several days in rehearsal the damn play and we never show it cause the only thing he wanted was to see us dance and laugh about us... so sad but we had a lot of fun then with Foxy and Get Off...

Nowadays, when this song is played at "The White" my dear friend stands almost without moving cause she says i don´t know how to dance that song... well maybe the memories of that frustred disco play makes me the only one that can dance Get Off at the White :).
