Can we call this track "Disco"? technically probably not, we never heard it when we go to dance, but i remember was a huge hit in my city, and obviosly i used to dance it, now like those days i can´t resist to shake my head and i can say that most of all my head is the one that dance "Call me" more than my body (lol)that only can jump all around when i hear this excellent track..
Here we have this version of 8:04 minutes that i swear is diferent from the one that you can hear on the Blondie's cd greatest hits or "best of's" particularly mixed with the "techno-taste" of Giorgio and a very apropiate guitar solo (that's why i can only shake my head) and a version that most that one gymnastic girl could perform a wonderful routine for a competition...
The B side give us the enagenating instrumental version (6:10 min)that in fact is not purely instrumental cause has the exciting voice of Mss Harry singing Huu uh, aah ha, call me, call me aah ha.. that one can swear she´s playing her finger in her mouth :), and the chorus of the song with the extraordinary synth of Mr Moroder both versions in this beatiful cherry red 12"

BLONDIE went DISCO!!!
New Wave band Blondie couldn't escape from Disco euforia in late 70's and recorded this track (kind of disco-new wave sound) and of course their disco hit HEART OF GLASS!!
As produced by G.Moroder Call Me could have perfectly been recorded by Donna Summer and included in her Bad Girls album.....the sound, style and lyrics fit like a glove
