"Just Outside Of Town" is the most acclaimed album of Mandrill's prolific early '70s work. "Mango Meat", "Fat City Strut", & "Two Sisters Of Mystery" are heavy funk tracks regarded as classics among funk collectors and samplers.
My preference, however, goes to the more sensitive tracks on this album: "She Ain't Lookin' Too Tough", & "Love Song", with heart-ripping vocal deliveries and arrangements...
