Pretty talented work by little-known band, seemingly composed of teen- to early-twenties members.
The style is disco-funk, and seems inspired by Dream Express, Switch, early Dynasty, and Parliament.. The beat is disco, the effects (on some tracks) are space synth w/ vocoder.
"Astro boogie" pretty much describes the style of the track, with a Bootsy collins soundalike. This will please Parliament and Bootsy fans.
"It's a groove" and "Mad House" are catchy, energetic, very danceable stompers.
Whether the name of the group was taken after the Harold Melvin And The Blue Notes tracks from '77, or meant as an omen (obviously didn't work), we don't know...
Whether the band released other LPs is not known either, although it seems they may have released a single with 2 other tracks... Please notify below if you know of other releases by TTF. This is being discussed (as of 3/24/07) in the following thread:
