NOTES ON THIS VINYL RECORD:

I really couldn't wait to upload this record, besides that my best friend was desperate to see it on the site, this track performed by Martina (is she Italian?, Spanish? who knows) Martina arrived with "Pachuco" to Monterrey (México) radio stations with her song and simply was a huge hit...

Possibly a lost track in disco era that is not in fact a disco song, we call it "an english cumbia" if you don't know what a cumbia sounds like you probably may know "Selena" (Jlo interpreted her on the movie "Selena"), well this is "cumbia music" and Martina "came" to my city with this strange song delicious to dance singing in english with an accent sounding like Charo on "Cuchi Cuchi" and making of her song a classic and maybe unique "disco cumbia" song.

Sexy lyrics and a rythm that simply invites you to dance, and a guitar that saves this track for the "mere cumbia style",the b side is totally diferent "Central Park" reveals who Martina was,this second track is disco, unfortunately with only 3 min long, the record shows "grabado en Italia" (recorded in Italy)so i just can say that this is an "Italo Disco" track and artist, we been trying to get some info about her but none was achived, even that the cover art (with a "pachuco" style dressed man)shows that "Central Park" is the first track but "Pachuco" is placed on side A wisely targeted for mexican public.

This record is a hard to find one, cause even in those places where we look for our music they don't have it easily and this copy is in almost "mint" condition as record collectors use to say, with its 27 years old this 45 record sounds just like yesterday when "Pachuco" became classic song in all "mexican posadas"...
