NOTES ON THIS VINYL RECORD:

Wow! A classic one that everybody knows in the city, "Margarita" (Margherita) was played over and over and over on the radio, till some times you can hear "live" the record went scrached while aired, and we never got tired of it!!! Now there's no retro dance party if "Margarita" is not played, maybe considered silly or stupid song for some people and bubble gum song by others (who consider themselves "true disco lovers") loved by some hated by others "Margarita" the only hit of Massara that I know became a classic one.

I never saw or knew a 7" edition of this record and the cover everybody recognize it (even now), there was also a English version of this song but never saw the record, and my dear friend (and disco dance partner, wow! you should see her Dance!!!) Patty got this english version on an old tape with another disco songs from the era and this version as long as this one is equally beautiful, "Only Margherita take me to Shangri La" the only lirycs i can remember but every single repetitive beat and chorus make me jump like a grasshopper :)

Reader Comments on Massara

Sorry I forgot to mention that this record shows that side a includes "margherita part I, and the side b "margherita part II" both with the same time 7.58 min, but that is not true.

The song in both sides is the full version and the "single" version we used to hear in radio stations was about 3.50 min long exactly in the middle of the song and also used to play the "part II" that was the rest of the full version, so probably the 7" was issued and released this way.
