- Trocadero Bleu Citron was a French movie about teenage skateboarders and featured music by Alec R. Costandinos. Although the album soundtrack makes no mention of the group name, on this French 7 inch single they are known as Shake (?).
The American album is called Trocadero Lemon Blue.

Actually, "Shake" is the name of the vocalist, full name Dato Shake, a Malaysian who you can see on the cover. Presumably he ended up in Paris, met Alec, and recorded a number of singles and albums with him (there are plenty more).

I should add that this single is actually a French Language re-recording of "Trocadero Lemon Blue" on the soundtrack LP. Whether it is also Shake who sings the English version on the LP, I'm not sure.

It's true Dato Shake from Malaysia.Anybody have his album in France or English.I have his album in Malay.We can exchange.

Just bought a few 7" singles at a sidewalk sale. 10 cents each and they were brand new.
One of them was a single by Shake doing a french disco version of "Love is a many splendored thing" called "Rien n'est plus beau que l'amour" (Sounding very much like Grace Jones' "La vie en rose" BTW).Anyway - while flipping the single - I came across a song called "Parce que je t'aime" (Because I love you) and the song sounds like it is a french version of one track from the Romeo & Juliet Lp. (The part that goes "But how I love her...I know I love him more than words..." The song came out in 1977.
The song is credited to C.Carmone/P.Sevran/Alec.
