I know what you're thinkin'...... "an LP of remakes?" Don't let that fool you! Whoa! "You Keep Me Hangin' On" a smoker! along with Close to You, I can't say the whole LP is perfect, but it's definitely something any real disco lover should have in their collection.

I'd never heard of it when I bought it at a record convention in London, where I apparently was about the only one looking for bona fide disco, as opposed to funk, northern soul, and indie stuff. I had chosen several LPs from the same dealer, who encouraged me to buy this sealed one he pulled from an unopened box, telling me: "it's a choon you'll fancy!". I told him I'd consider, and took off to get cash; and when I came back 10 mins. later, 7 guys were hanging around, having been refused the sale because the record was reserved, and waiting to see if I'd buy it, otherwise to start a bidding war. I agree, this Soiree album is great! I even bought two of the recent CD version, the extra one to trade or give to another disco fan someday!
