This cut is a Latin “freestyle” anthem, if anyone needs to understand what the unique freestyle sound was all about just play this cut, since this song was so popular the Dub/instrumental side was very useful as many DeeJays worked and extended this record for maximum dance floor impact.
In 1985 a Spanish version was released on ‘The Fever’ original label (SF-805), this Spanish version was also used by Djs to mix with the English language counter part giving this song extra dance floor staying power..
During the mid-eighties Nayobe performed this cut live to packed houses countless times in the Miami area, more than 20 years later she once again came down to Miami to participate in a highly successful “Freestyle” reunion concert last year (2006).
