On the Upside by Xena, a.k.a. Lisa Fischer, was a pretty sizable freestyle record in New York even garnering much airplay on radio stations like WKTU. It was virtually everywhere and will still illicit a strong response when dropped into an '80s Freestyle playlist.

Emergency Records is the label that gave us Kano, D. D. Sound and then moved forward into the electro-freestyle 1980s trappings of Shannon.
