Barry Beckett was a versatile producer of many styles of music coming out of the deep south (Muscle Shoals, Alabama)
Another notable disco production of his was Tony Orlando's DON'T LET GO.

TONIGHT I FEEL LIKE DANCING is something Barry pulled off the back burner for Mavis to have a go at .

The song first appeared two years earlier on a Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in house disco project under the name Toulouse of which Barry supplied keyboards and synthesizer.

Lacking any ground breaking content , unfortunately TIFLD didn't bring Mavis to the forefront of the disco scene and became one more release piled onto the heap of disco product that became lost in the glut of '79.
