MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Bananaticoco was also released in several countries under the name of Max Boulois or simply Tobago Band and sometimes the title was simply written as Banatico, Max Boulois scored high on dancefloors around the world specially in Europe and Brazil in 1974 (although this single was released in 1973), the same year he had at almost at the same time the hit named “Black & Roll”, not nervous and afro like Bananaticoco, but still hot and intense.

I am from Brazil and old enough to remember this song. In fact, I found this page after searching for the song, because for some reason I woke up with this song in my head today, after such a long time... It was really a huge success here at that time, but from what I remember, the short name by which it was known here was "Banicoco," not "Banatico." Maybe that was the short name in Europe or somewhere else.
