Theo Vaness hails from Holland and played guitar in the Dutch group The Shoes between 1962 and 1976. Theo's real name is Theo van Es and today he still sings with a reformed The Shoes.
Shown here is the Prelude Records 12 inch singel containing two mixes of "I Can't Dance Without You" known simply as "Mix One" and "Mix Two." Theo Vaness had many other great songs on Prelude such as "Bad, Bad Boy" and "Sentimentally It's You."

Above-average funky workout nearing the end of the disco era, beautifully rhythmic but not in a league with Theo's brilliant "Bad Bad Boy" LP. However, this is much better than his hard-to-take first Prelude LP "Back to Music."
