I loved that song! Pure Disco!
Hey Delmar,
This is another one I did at Alpha International... We recorded Strings and Grand Piano on it with Andy & Kurt, (I can't find my copy of the LP Credits!)
Andy is one hell of a pianist and arranger ... and I can't remember if I Mixed This version, or if Andy took it back to Queen Village Studios to mix it there.
I'm pretty sure I did the final MIX on this 12" version and/or the LP version with Andy & Kurt at Alpha, also.
((Yo Andy, help me out here if you're around!))

Hi Delmar, My name is Jim Potter and I was a friend of Kurt's . My best friend Chip and I played the tambourine on the this song in the Philadelphia studio...it did make up to #26 on the billboard chart.
Keep dancing....Jim
Gene and Jimmy I just found your posts here! Gene, you got most of it right, but who's arguing? It's great seeing your names here. Thanks for posting such nice comments about "our" music and me. What a time it was! FYI, I've just released 5 new mixes of "HOT SHOT" with Karen Young's original vocal performance on all of them, including one by DJ Ralphi Rosario. Great to back doing what I've always loved more than anything else. Love and Music. That's the message.
You'll never be heard if you don't post...
