In Miami during the mid-eighties, no song was heard more then this one. All the DISCOS were playing it, it was on every radio station, even as a back-drop for commercials. Turn on the T.V., and you'd hear it every five or ten minutes in an NBC commercial. The youth of Miami played it on their "boom-boxes", in other words, the MIAMI VICE THEME was everywhere! Why wouldn't it be? A CLASSIC that had so much energy and drive that it was the THEME song for the entire city. On the dance floors, it would pack them, and keep them there. I would remix it of course, and it would lend itself to many fantastic versions. On my scale from 1-10, it gets a 10.
