Feb 20, 2010 | 8:39 am"Rumour Has It" (with the 'u') was originally issued in 1977 as a 7-track 12" EP by Casablanca (NBD 20109) entitled "Selected cuts from ONCE UPON A TIME..." Side B contains mixed-together versions of "Rumour..", "I Love You" and the masterpiece "Happily Ever After", as does the LP, however eliminating the fourth, unnecessary reprised title track of the LP, giving it more enhanced fidelity than the LP. Side A represents however a significant departure from the LP. It mixes "Queen For A Day", "Fairy Tale High", "Now I Need You" and (flawlessly to every DJs secret dream) "Working The Midnight Shift" These tracks appear out of order and unmixed on the LP. NBD 12117 above was likely intended for an AOR format, given the shorter times, separation of tracks and enhanced fidelity.

Re above: should be NBD 20112, not NBD 12117. Eyes go bleary waiting ages for connection, often losing draft commentary in the process. Apologies. Gary from Hong Kong
