Apr 24, 2006 | 12:02 pm"Spring Affair" Is a more UPTEMPO Sexy/Sensual yet danceable departure from "Love to Love You Baby", but none the less in the be-loved Donna Summer tradition: Vocally sensual, fun and classic.

This was the first commercially-issued 12" by Casablanca, followed by The Heart and Soul Orchestra's "Love in 'C' Minor" (NBD 101). Promotional copy not seen. Issued in two-sided colour photographic picture sleeve with Donna Summer costumed to match the two 'seasons' being sung about. This short-lived, two-number 12" sequence was dropped in favour of the final long-lasting 20000 number series which was maintained throughout the balance of the label's independence, beginning with the next-issued Jimmy James/Vagabonds 12" single (NBD 20102), and ending as a first step of the osmosis process into the Polygram family in 1983.
