MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

This Metropolis featuring the Sweethearts of Sigma record is DY-NO-MITE! Don't let the woman made up as a clown and the title fool you, "The Greatest Show On Earth" has nothing to do with the soundtrack to a Barnum & Bailey Circus show. Instead, it's a collection of beautifully orchestrated; strings, synths, and horns a go-go disco tracks with beautiful female vocals to match.

When wondering who produced such gems, if you look, you'll find the names of Tom Moulton, and Thor Baldursson. Fans of Giorgio Moroder and Munich Machine will instantly recognize the latter, as well as Keith Forsey, Mats Bjoerklund, and Juergen Koppers, usual musicians and co-writers of Giorgio's works. The cuts were even recorded at his Musicland Studios in Munich, leaving the vocals and horns to be recorded at Sigma Sound in N.Y.

By it's cover, this LP is a total sleeper, but ultimately a must-have...
