Wow! in response to the person who commented on Oct. 22, 2006: I have been saying this for many, many, many, years even back then, that some of the verses are hard to understand in this disco version of Knock on Wood. I believe that the way she sang Knock on Wood in 1978/1979 that certain verses could or mean a number of things. example, cause {when} {its} {loving} touch he sees {to it} that i get enough or it could be this, cause {where} {theres} {lovin} touch he sees {through her}than i get enough. how bout this one {its} like {thunda}, {burstin}, {lightnin}, or it could be this {he's} like {thunder}, {bursting}, {lightning}, what about this one, {ya betta} knock on wood or it could be {you better} knock on wood. see all the differences, wow it can be very confusing and in some cases I can't tell what she is saying.

But all and all this disco version of KNOCK ON WOOD 78/79 is nicely done. Now for the remix {1985} version of KNOCK ON WOOD that I can say that, it's not as bass heavy but the lyrics seem to be more polished and more understanding in words. So as I listen to it I try to match it up with the original 1978/1979 version so i can understand what she is saying in the song. personally speaking this version of KNOCK ON WOOD by Amii Stewart is so gurgious and beautiful! and at this point passing 30+ years is not so important any more. BUT !!! It would be nice just to know what she really is saying. Peace to all!

Was Ami "Gay"..the last verse of the song refers to a 'woman' who sees to it that she 'gets enough'??? And, "Ariola" records? A play on words? Just curious...many years later...
