Earl Young on a small Atlanta label? This is an instumental version of the Harold Melvin hit. In the pre 12" days I played this version first then mixed the Philly 7"into it. What I always found a bit odd is that the follow up single to this (Do what you feel) was on Ariola America, yet they're both off the same album.

Oct 06, 2006 | 11:21 amThe album "Bad luck" (Ariola ST50004, 1975) is one to go for. Some nice sweet good old philly tracks and more funk that sounds like the Fatback Band. Has the 3 songs mentioned here, and more...

Issued as a 12" single under the Ariola America label in 1975 containing the 4:02 7" version on each side. Issued in a graphic orange, printed slipcover. While not specifically stating 'promotional copy', the words "For Disco Play' appear diagonally across the front of the slipcover and the catalog number contains the letter sequence '..PRO'. Likely the first Ariola 12", numbered SPRO-8289, prenumbering Polly Brown's "You're My Number One" (SPRO-8306). This numbering system is unlike later Ariola releases; its similatrity to the initial Capitol 12" numbering system indicates a possible ownership affiliation, then likely making the record the first 12" issued on Capitol's SPRO-8000 numbering series
