This followup album after "Spirit Of The Boogie" was disappointing somewhat as they seemed to not achieve any strong offerings in the funk/jazz/pop fusion of previous albums. However the live recorded portions hold up well especially "Summer Madness."

This album alone is worth seeking for "Summer Madness." This track is a jazz infused eight minute spaced-out journey with mostly instrumental jams. This track has the individual artists showcase a solo in it. There's an even longer version re-edited by Roy Ayers floating around too. Best heard with the lights dimmed low and stereophonic headphones.
