Ecstasy, Passion & Pain had a string of great singles so why did I pick this one? Because I couldn't make up my mind. I thought this is the first 45 I bought of them so why not. Barbara Roy (Gaskins) on vocals with a backing from M.F.S.B. what more could you want?

Apr 23, 2007 | 12:54 pmThe lyrics are neither cliched nor bend-over-backwards for cleverness: they are sincere. Add the incredible band that was EP&P (+MFSB!), and you have one of four brilliant hits (including "Ask Me," "Good Things (Don't Last Forever)," and "Touch and Go," from Ecstasy, Passion and Pain's self-titled 1974 album, one of disco's first and very best.

This record was hot, it was requested all the time when I first started deejaying. Never heard it on the radio though. It was in clubs and house parties. This is when DISCO was in the process of birth. Only a hand full or two of "DISCO" type records beat this song to the party. I loved it on that DISCONET as well. On my scale from 1-10, I give it a 9.
