MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Saturday Night Band was produced by Dillard & Boyce who also worked on Lorraine Johnson's "Feed the Flame" and Constellation Orchestra. This is the special Prelude double pak 12" records in the standard album jacket (note the sticker on the top right). Saturday Night Band also enjoyed considerable success with "Come On and Dance, Dance" on an earlier Prelude Records release.

Moses Dillard had been involved with Soul since 1964 beginning with Moses Dillard & the Dynamic Showmen and was noticed by Otis Redding.

Jesse Boyce, a Florida native was part of the FAME Rhythm section, which played backup for many Soul singers.

Concept band of the excellent PRELUDE disco label. Jesse Boyce wrote almost all of their hits, sometimes with Moses Dillard. All the songs from that Double-pack album are great.
Listen for "Keep those lovers dancing"; "Boogie with me"; and "Let's make it a party". The band used Lorraine Johnson for backing vocals.
