MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

No, this is not the "Men In Black" song as my little five year-old niece once exclaimed. This is the original from which it was sampled. Patrice Rushen also did "Haven't You Heard."

The white label promotional 12", identically numbered to the above commercial release per Elektra practice, had 7:11 stereo and mono versions on opposite sides. Interesting to note that this was a huge hit for Patrice Rushen after a few years of so-so 12" releases by both Fantasy and Elektra. Kind of like Babe Ruth hitting 60 home runs at age 45. Usually the first release is the big hit with a rapid cascade into oblivion thereafter.

Definitely a R&B favorite on radio and in the clubs!!!
