Feb 20, 2006 | 2:45 pmUnique, compulsive mix of near-gibberish (that is alternately rapped and sung), chirping disco-dolly backups, and two shocking, stabbing string-and-horn runs.
A lot of folks hated this when it came out and have forgotten it since, but I'm still fascinated. Inarguably the groove and guitar are FILTHY. Something to freak to...yet another bizarre record that Prelude seemed to revel in making a hit from.
This song is a WBLS CLASSIC!!! It was all you heard on NYC radio back in the summer of 1980, believe that! I am bumpin' it on the iPod as I type these words.
