NOTES:

Who hasn't heard "Turn the Beat Around" by Vicki Sue Robinson? After all these years it's one of the few songs that I can still listen to even though it's played all the time including the horrible remake by Gloria what's-her-name...

Unfortunately while in the midst of a musical comeback Vicki Sue Robinson passed away in 2000 due to cancer. Other releases included "Daylight" on RCA Records and "To Sir With Love" on Promise Records in the mid 1980's. Her producer, Warren Schatz went on to produce the hugely popular Disco version of "Memory" from the Broadway musical "Cats."

Did you realise the writers are Peter and Gerald Jackson from the r&b group "Touch of Class" These two talented Brothers scored big with this one tune. They also enjoyed some success as Touch of Class with 'Im in Heaven" released on the Midsong International label

DiscoMusic.com's original in-depth interview from 2004 with the late Barry Lederer. The team at Graebar designed and installed the sound systems for the Saint, 12 West, Trocadero Transfer, Probe and several other world class night clubs in the 1970s. Read it now...
