NOTES ON THIS VINYL RECORD:

"Lust" is a highly sought after track from the above Seven Deadly Sins LP. It is dark sounding yet inviting starting off with wind and what sounds like electronic wolves howling with a hard hitting beat and riff fading in. It then goes along with the same chords enticing you in further and further with a beautiful melody that starts to change gradually taking you to different places. Just before Lust gets to the six minute mark the song takes a very sinister turn with a killer break that has prominent vibes riffs along with a psychotic laugh taunting you as if to say, "I have you now."

Besides their own solo work, Rinder & Lewis were the producers for such groups as El Coco, Saint Tropez, Le Pamplemousse and Tuxedo Junction. Both producers were active through the eighties.

Rinder and Lewis' "Lust" is available on a CD that is getting harder to find called Disco 54 - The AVI Collection and is highly recommended.

Reader Comments on Rinder and Lewis

I heard the tune "Lust" once when I was 18 (25 years ago) and never heard it again. I remembered the name and thought the name of the group was "Seven Deadly Sins". I never found it, obviously. Then one day, a friend of mine gave me the CD from the Playboy Mansion that had a remix of "Lust" and I was ecstatic! I then had to track down the original. All I really want to say is that I am not easily impressed...the fact that I could still remember this haunting tune--after hearing it only once--is a statement in itself. Thanks folks.
