This Canadian LP featuring continuous play on both sides only received sporadic dance floor attention by some innovative DJs of the day and was quickly and unfairly overlooked and forgotten in the glut of domestic material released that year.
But Black Diamond’s fabulous female vocalist (Tara Schaft ?) with her magnificent style that evokes memories of Esther Phillips and Marlena Shaw makes numbers like “What Now My Love” and the catchy “New York City Dream” a pleasure to experience again after all these years.

Tara Schaft really tears it up on several tracks, but the best is "New York City Dream."
I believe that if Black Diamond had worked with the likes of Rinder & Lewis, their sound would have been so strong it would crushed some of today's songs.
