Feb 15, 2005 | 8:58 amDisco-funk band, and one of the first signings to SYLVIA'S Sugarhill label when it opened in 1979. "We got the funk" is a classic disco record and was big on the disco scene in 1979/80. It's got all the magical ingredients of a great disco track, and has one of the best disco basslines ever!

being a lover of 70s/80s disco/soul this was and still is a fantastic track brought to you by the label that gave us the first and best rap record of all time. The daddy; Rappers Delight.
