NOTES:

James Mtume not only wrote Stephanie Mills' Disco smash, "I Never Knew Love Like This Before," but he also produced the stellar "You Know How To Love Me" by Phyllis Hyman as well as playing with Miles Davis.

1983's "Juicy Fruit" on Epic Records was a big song in and around New York and is a classic urban / funk track that is worth seeking out. Have to love the lyrics where she says, "I will be your lolipop, you can lick me everywhere..."

Another great Mtume track is "Give it on Up (If you Want To)."
