MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Melba Moore got her start by eventually playing the lead role in the Broadway musical "Hair" in the early 1970's. From there she jumped into Disco music and later Gospel.

Melba Moore had an earlier Disco track before "You Stepped Into My Life" on Buddah Records called "Good Love Makes Everything Alright" produced by Van McCoy.

There are at least two mixes of "You Stepped Into My Life" and featured here is the 12 inch Disco mix by famed remixer John Luongo. In addition, Wayne Newton also covered "You Stepped..." in typical Las Vegas style. "You Stepped Into My Life" which was written by Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb and Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees.

This track was taken from the album, Melba (JE 35507).

Later tracks by Melba Moore included Mind Up Tonight (1982) and "Love's Coming At You" (1982), which was produced by Kashif.
