Michele

Disco Dance [Patrick Cowley Mega Mix] (12")

RECORD LABEL / RELEASE INFO:

West End Records (US) 1978 / WES 12110
12" Disco Single 33 1/3 rpm vinyl record - White Label Promo

STUDIO CREDITS:

Producer(s) : Pierre Jaubert and Tom Moulton

Mixer/Remixer: Patrick Cowley (A), Tom Moulton (B)

TRACKLISTING:

Side A
Disco Dance [Patrick Cowley Mega Mix] (13:40)

Side B
Disco Dance [Tom Moulton Disco Mix] (8:42)

NOTES:

A West End Records 12 inch from 1978 of perhaps Patrick Cowley's earliest remixes on vinyl. Although the label incorrectly credits both mixes as being done by Tom Moulton that is not entirely true. Patrick took Tom's original mix and stretched it to over 13 minutes by adding his signature synthesizers sounds similar to what he did with Donna Summer's "I Feel Love."

Patrick Cowley's name appears nowhere on the label and only in the press release by Alan-Michael of West End Records that was included with this white label promo. Patrick's other remixes included Two Tons O' Fun's "I Got the Feeling," Lipp's Inc. "Funkytown" with Bobby Viteritti, Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" and Tantra's "Hills of Katmandu."

I recall at the time a rumor going around that Michele was the same person as Chantal Curtis of Get Another Love fame, but I have never been able to confirm this.

YOUR REVIEWS & COMMENTS ON Michele

The last five minutes features Patrick Cowley 's spellbinding work tacked on to Tom Moulton's wonderful original 8:42 version. Hard to believe this was a *1977* release.

( Bernie if you look to the left side of the label ... in the small print, you'll see it credits "Patrick Cowley - megamix" :) )
