I remember when this Janice McClain 12" was in the record stores, I didn't think much of it at the time. Now it is one those hard to find
classics. Its really worth its value today.

Janice McClain's, "Smack Dab In The Middle", makes my "top 5-all time best Disco" list. Highly recommended----- if you can find it. I could play it over & over.............

It has *finally* been released on CD! It's on the "Journey Into Paradise: The larry Levan Story" CD. Truly a classic track. Though I disagree about the House music comment...there's nothing even remotely hinting of House about this track: it's pure classic disco with superb lush orchestration. (PS: before I get flamed big time by the House people, please note that I am NOT a House music fan, hence my probable dislike of anything that relates beautiful classic disco to the repetitively mindnumbing sound of House music.)
