Janice McClain's track "Smack Dab In the Middle" was starting to signal Disco's move into what would give birth to House. A great song.

Apr 24, 2006 | 1:50 amIt has *finally* been released on CD! It's on the "Journey Into Paradise: The larry Levan Story" CD. Truly a classic track. Though I disagree about the House music comment...there's nothing even remotely hinting of House about this track: it's pure classic disco with superb lush orchestration. (PS: before I get flamed big time by the House people, please note that I am NOT a House music fan, hence my probable dislike of anything that relates beautiful classic disco to the repetitively mindnumbing sound of House music.)
