MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Kenny Lehman who contributed to the early Chic records had a nice album on Prelude. A-Freak-A and Chance To Dance are the stellar cuts and were also releases as special 12 inch singles featuring a longer François Kevorkian remix.

Thankfully, this complete album along with bonus remixes is now available on compact disc from Unidisc.

Kinda stink-o album you can still get on the cheap in the bins. So why buy it? Well, "A-Freak-A" has earned some camp value with the refrain: "Life's so VERY nice/ It's the J-o-i-i-nt!/A-FREAK-A/It's the J-o-i-i-nt!"

Also, there any number of sample-ready hooks worth mining...
