Barbara Mason is best known for her 1960's hit "Yes, I'm Ready" (later covered by KC and Teri DeSario) and hails from Philadelphia. The "B" side is a reply to "She's Got Papers On Me" by Richard "Dimples" Fields, but listen to "Let Me Give You Love" instead. Barbara later did the somewhat controversial "Another Man" for West End Records.

When the American pop radio stations play the song, "I'm Ready To Learn" A.K.A "Yes, I'm Ready", sung by Barbara Mason, they will have to call her a one-hit wonder of the '60s. Do you know what Barbara Mason should have been? She should have been a more sweet and innocent Philly soul/pop singer rather than making controversial music with too much suggestive rapping that's too funk-oriented for holy Christians. She should have not made "Another Man", "World War Three", "From His Woman To You", "Shacking Up", "She's Got The Papers, But I Got The Man" and more later stuff that's not so good after "Yes, I'm Ready". The last song by Barbara Mason, could have been "Give Me Your Love", penned by Curtis Mayfield.
