Kurtis Mantronik of "Who Is It", "King of the Beats" and "Bassline" fame put out "Got To Have Your Love" in 1989 on Capitol after moving from Sleeping Bag Records.

Mantronix (Mantronik) has been called a pioneer in hip hop, but has been said to have been at all the major New York Disco spots such as the Loft and Paradise Garage..
