MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

The song "Dancin' in the moonlight" was originally recorded by the group "Boffalongo" in 1970. It was also a hit for King Harvest in 1973, and had also been performed by Liza Minelli. It is now best known, at least in Europe, for being a huge pop hit and radio favourite for the UK group Toploader in 2000.

The Keane Brothers (Tom and John) were only 11 and 12 years old when they started their pop career in 1977, they also had a TV show. They released two LPs as the Keane Brothers, and then two more LPs as "Keane". Both are still involved in the music industry today, and John composed the theme to TV programme "C.S.I.".

Most of the Keane Brothers' first two LPs was teen pop, including the B side of this record. However the extended version of "Dancin' in the moonlight" on the A side is actually an excellent disco record, and makes Toploader's recent version sound very drab!
