Firstly, do not confuse this Peter Brown (black man from NYC's Harlem) with the Peter Brown (white man) who did "Crank it Up" on TK. They are two different people.
Peter Brown worked extensively with Patrick Adams and later Michael Campbell during the 1970s on many labels like P & P, Queen Constance, Sound of New York... They had a unique raw sound that was keenly in touch with their Harlem surroundings. Much of their output is now hard to find and has acheived cult status.

Feb 20, 2005 | 6:58 amAnother of my all-time favorite,
studio disco group from New York. Originally signed to the Queen Constance label for the fantastic disco track "Going to a disco to-night", LITTLE SCOTTY later produced a 4-track EP including "Shout at the disco" and "Roll at the disco". This was released on Queen Constance's sister label, Sound of New York.
''Shout at the disco'' features on sublime ''Dimitri from Paris'' compilation ''Disco Forever''.

Nov 14, 2004 | 5:56 pmI do not know why this was not mentioned but
someone has slightly altered the truth here.
Michael Campbell Was not only The Producer but served as Recording Engineer/writer/arranger and Composer on not only Most of the Queen Constance Product but the majority of it's associated product as well. Many of the Patrick Adams Productions where reworked by Michael Campbell as he added other instruments and removed others to bring some of the songs current and he single handedly played most of the instruments on them all. Peter Brown saw in Michael a level of genius that lead him to bring Michael under his wing and show him the ropes of the music business. There are many titles that Michael's Name does not appear. But Michael was in fact the pulse of that label and many others. Michael currently owns two recording studios and is preparing to launch his own label.
You can reach him at mlc59@yahoo.com

The band that played on most of the tracks for the various Peter Brown labels was a band called "High Voltage" They where also signed to the label and released several songs as well. They went on to back up many of the artists during the disco era.
Michael Campbell was the guitarist and sometimes played drums as a sub for his brother Craig Campbell. Most of the Musicians where from Brooklyn, NY.
A reunion album is being planned.
