O'Jays
Darlin' Darlin' Baby (Promo 12")
Philadelphia International Records (U.S.) / 1976 / ASD-280
Promo Only 12" Disco single 45 rpm vinyl record
Genre: Dance
Produced by Gamble & Huff. Arranged by Bobby Martin.
Side A:
Darlin' Darlin' Baby [STEREO] (4:14)
Side B:
Darlin' Darlin' Baby [MONO] (4:14)
This is a very rare promo 12" which was actually The O'Jays' second 12" on the label. The first being "Message In Our Music". This is equally as good and equally as hard to find. Another masterpiece from Gamble & Huff.

Aug 12, 2005 | 8:43 pmThe music on this smooth, mid-tempo groove is illustrious and defined with that magical energy developed by Mother Father Sister Brother (MFSB); the back-up band of the Philly International sound. Both Eddie Levert and Walter Williams take turns on the verses and help churn the song into a magical dance tune, but it is the closing minutes of the song that proves to be the most memorable of the entire song; bringing up memories of slow dancing with a romantic disco posture. Only problem: kinda wish there was an extended remix out there.

Gotta holler @ my boy Mike for this one!
