This soundtrack is the saving grace for one of the cheesiest movies ever made!

Everyone knows "YMCA" (which was laready a hit before the film), but many of these songs were big club hits--I remember "Give Me a Break" and the title song being in heavy rotation when I visited my first gay club in the summer of 1980.

I think MAGIC NIGHT is the sleeper on here .... lively & uplifting in true VP style ....about being out with friends & making it a magic night. Sounds something like a Broadway number ...the really brief break is where the potential lies ....ah ..if only someone noteworthy had gotten a hold of this to make an extended remix ....

One of my all-time guilty pleasure...
I love the VP,the label and even the movie.

So bad it's almost good...I mean I KNOW it is a bad film and everything... but I did spend the summer of 1980 in New York City so it brings so many great memories.
