Where do I start.....This is my mom and dad. My mom is ViAnn singing lead. My dad is Herb Jimmerson who arranged and wrote many songs from the second album. Phil Jones met my parents in LA and loved my mom's blues voice. My parents made only two albums together while with Fantasy Records. The two albums were primarily released in Europe. Fantasy Records was known for Jazz. So they didn't quite know how much they wanted to venture into disco. Slyvester was their most famous disco artist. Two Tons of Fun did sing back ground. But I think only one of them did. The best example of the Two Tons of Fun is on the Revernd Lee track.

My dad continued to do a couple of other albums at Fantasy, Idris Muhommad, disco version of Lord of the Rings soundtrack to an animation, and a couple of other stuff. My mom and dad moved back to LA and performed in Orange County. My dad was always busy working on new projects. He was very involved with the NAMN show performing for Emulators in the early 80's. My dad wrote for Keyboard magazine for about a year. He had also performed and composed the demo music for keyboard companies like Emulator and Kurzwell. You can find some of his addition stuff online. He ultimatly had his own studieo called Omega Studieo. My dad also arranged and played keyboards on several Christian artist albums.

Sadly, 10 years ago my dad drowned. My mother stopped singing and performing because she lost her love.

Beautiful record, with beautiful tracks, as "Star in my life", "Reverend Lee", and, most importantly: "Poinciana", a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned. The dreamy intro, the entrancing female lead- and background vocals, and perfect arrangements make for a track that will leave you wondering what kind of trip you've just been on-and wanting to go back for a ride! For those you've enjoyed this delivery of "Poinciana", you might want to try "Frankie Crocker's Heart & Soul Orchestra"s version, as wonderful, but in a funkier, heavier on the bass guitar way...
