El Bimbo (Disco Version) (3:55)
Side B:
El Bimbo (2:21)
This is the original Scepter release of this very popular classic club hit of 1975, Tom Moulton's extended version combines both the Vocal and instrumental to create his classic remix that was also released in Scepterís ìDisco Goldî Volume II collection available on vinyl and CD.
The short version found here was released the previous year under the "Chocolate Boys" banner on a rare 7î record (Elver Records, FL-479) that soon was replaced with Moultonís Disco version, separate Vocal and Instrumental versions can be found in the segued Canadian EMI album (SPAM-67.364) titled "Bimbo Jet" which oddly contains other Bandís recordings as well as Bimbo Jetís second memorable hit record "La Balanga".

Oh my God, I have such fond memories of this fabulous recording. BAILAMOS EL BIMBO, was played extensively in all NEW YORK/JERSEY night club/DISCOS and at every corner in Spanish Harlem. At every house party in Union City you could hear EL BIMBO. A DISCO CLASSIC for sure. The Latin American and Spanish women in my area of the country were enamored with this song. A PRIME TIME PLAYER for almost a year. The crowds would HUSTLE or TANGO while singing along. The electronic piano was spectacular. A great mix song as well. On my scale from 1-10, it gets a definite 10.
