MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

I met D C La Rue through a co-worker in New York back in the early 1990s and he was very surprised to hear that he had fans and was very humble. Nothing like I thought he would be.

He recorded on both the Pyramid label as well as Casablanca and even had one of his songs on the Thank God It's Friday soundtrack. "Let Them Dance" is another Esty production ala Paul Jabara's "Pleasure Island."

DC LaRue's "Let Them Dance" is currently on the highly recommended Casablanca Records Story four CD boxset.

    Another Great Gem,
prolific disco writer on the Pyramid label in mid to late 1970's.
D.C. LARUE is a songwriter and instrumentalist. He emerged in the mid-70's with a series of heavily orchestrated, disco-orientated instrumentals with vocal refrains.
"Let them dance" is one of the records you should have in your collection, but you should consider getting all of his material as it's one of it's kind.
