"Dance To the Drummer's Beat" is a blistering track from southern Florida by the group Herman Kelly & Life. Released on TK Records subsidiary label Electric Cat. This single was later re-released on the TK label proper, but not as collectible as the one here on Electric Cat.

There's a typo in the song title on the label and cover. "Dance To the Drummer's Beat" made a brief reappearance during the Break-dance phenomenon of the early 80's and has also been heavily sampled.

Featured here is the "original" version and pressing on the Electric Cat label out of Miami before it was remixed by Jim Burgess for TK Records.
