MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Before the group was renamed Bimbo Jet and the Scepter Label released their 1975 club hit single containing Tom Moulton's extended version ( SCE-12406). This Chocolate Boys import was already popular in many clubs everywhere. The instrumental version is the same one found on Side B of Scepter's later U.S. release.

Octavio right on top of it! Very big record in NEW YORK and in MIAMI only!! EL BIMBO was a DISCO CLASSIC that Latins loved to death!! This version lacked the studio work that the later versions had. But still a solid ten on my scale from 1-10.

The club hit "Brasilia Carnaval" was also released by the Chocolate Boys in 1975, number 489 in the Disc-o-la fortune 500 chart.
