MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES
The writer, Sharon Brown, is the same person who later had the hit I Specialize In Love. She is quoted as saying:
One of my first songs written and recorded by me ... Ronnie Bishop brought a wonderful track with sketchy lyric... I worked on it and we now have "Family tree"
Trees grow tall in the woods, bear make honey , if they could...

This is one of the premier R&B type dance tunes spun by Larry Levan, chief selecter at the Paradise Garage. This record a soulful track that has all the elements for the dance floor. This was truly one of Larry's favorites. The B Side was pretty good also (ain't no need - Skye) and got much play as well. Larry was a great selector could present and break a record in a way that you could appreciate the nuance of that tune.
I would say he was the best at it!
